editSuite Help - How do I use the Shopping Cart module using Fotomoto?

You can use the Shopping cart module to to sell items on your website. This module is located under the “Edit content” tab within your editSuite. There are two available options for this module: Fotomoto shopping cart and the standard liveBooks shopping cart.

  • For selling photography products on your website we recommend using the Fotomoto shopping cart. The Fotomoto shopping cart works via the Fotomoto dashboard, which is separate from your liveBooks editSuite. Once you enable it, you’ll set up your Fotomoto dashboard with pricing and products, and this will be reflected on your liveBooks site with “buy” buttons in your portfolios for those images that you have listed “for sale” within the Fotomoto dashboard. 

 

  • For selling non-photography products such as jewelry, furniture, books, etc., we recommend that you choose the liveBooks shopping cart (or some other 3rd party shopping cart). For instructions on how to set up and use the standard liveBooks shopping cart please click here


Fotomoto is a print-on-demand e-commerce widget that integrates seamlessly into your existing liveBooks website and it can can print, pack as well as ship the orders to your customers.You can sell many different photography products using Fotomoto, including Premium Prints (C-prints), Fine art prints on various paper types, Canvas prints, Printed greeting and post cards, Wall Peels and Image downloads and licenses. In order to enable the Fotomoto shopping cart please follow the instructions below: 

Go to the Shopping Cart module in your editSuite. Click the “Enable Fotomoto” button. This will automatically add the Fotomoto code to your liveBooks website and creates a new Fotomoto account for you. 



The email address used for creating the Fotomoto account is the same email address you set as the admin user in your editSuite. If you don’t have the email address field populated for the editSuite admin user you will see an error message asking you to add one when clicking the “Enable Fotomoto” button. 

You will receive a welcome email from Fotomoto in your inbox. This email will include a unique URL that will get you started with your new Fotomoto account. After you set up a password for the account you will go through the 3 step subscription wizard for setting up your Fotomoto Subscription Plan, the Checkout Method and the Order Processing Preference. 



If you already have a Fotomoto account tied to the email address set for the editSuite admin, your liveBooks website will be added as a new store in your existing Fotomoto account. Our recommendation is to set up a brand new Fotomoto account using a different email address for your liveBooks website, but the choice is up to you. Setting up a separate account is the easiest way to manage your liveBooks content and will allow you to take advantage of any exclusive liveBooks promotions. 

Once you finish setting up your account your editSuite will look like this: 



The Fotomoto widget is compatible with the liveBooks Tablet site so if you have the “Tablet Website” enabled in the “Mobile Sites” module in editSuite, your visitors using iPads and other tablets will be able to purchase your For Sale items directly from the tablet site. Please note that Fotomoto will only use the images from your Portfolios. Images added to your home page and other info pages will not be included in your Fotomoto account or your “For Sale” items. Since all liveBooks sites are delivered with grey “placeholder” portfolio images, we recommend that you remove these images prior to setting up your Fotomoto dashboard. You will be able to define what images are and are not available for purchase by using the Collections section under the Store tab in the Fotomoto dashboard.
